Hillary's View
About once a month the kids at the secondary have a movie night. The school has a flat screen TV they set up on a desk outside one of the classrooms and the kids all crowd around - sitting on the ground or desks, or standing on desks at the back, whatever they can do to see the screen. I had oodles of popcorn in the pantry, so I took two really huge Kenyan pots (sufarias) and popped two giant bagfuls on the stove, wrapped them in cloth (you don't walk around with food showing, it's kind of flaunting, especially with so much of it!), and headed off to school. The movie had already started, but I don't think they minded pausing it to pass out popcorn! :) MY favourite part of the evening was star gazing - can you see the stars in the bottom right photo?
