Kevin's View
This is a giant chunk of ancient Devonian reef that was found near Canmore. After a geocahing event near the university today, I walked over to get this nearby EarthCache in front of the Geological Survey of Canada office. It is in samples like this that oil and gas can be found in many parts of Alberta. Sometimes I wonder if I should have been a geologist because just thinking about this makes me curious to know more.
Hillary's View
Today was a day for getting stuff done around the house. I wanted to clean out the cupboards and drawers, which also included a lot of washing dishes.  I had a beautiful view of the desert while I did.  I then got down to some reading for my classes at school. It makes such a difference reading about culture and worldview when I'm actually here rather than sitting in a library back in Calgary!
