We didn't get just a little bit of snow, we got a lot and it was heavy and wet. That meant trees all over town were bending and breaking under the weight. Top left is my apple tree with one of the branches (normally 6 feet up) resting on the ground. The bottom is another tree in my back yard. The main trunk is usually not at that great an angle. It was the one with the most damage in my yard. I'll probably end up cutting that whole section down. In the top right was a snowman I saw at the train station on the way to work.

Form Four students are in the last year of secondary and have their major secondary leaving exams starting mid-October to mid-November.  They are really feeling the pressure.  These students are pouring over revision books in the library during every spare minute.

Secondary students are in mandatory preps (study hall) starting at 6:00 am. Classes run from 7:30-4:00, and then night preps are from 7-9:30pm, with classes on Saturdays running from 9am-12:30.  They work SO hard!

Tori - how do you think you'd like school in Kenya? :)

  1. I would not enjoy that in the slightest! All that studying and learning from 6 am until 9:30 pm? I admire those kids for working so hard, but I could not do it! Where's the time for theatre?
