Today was my first full day in Kenya, so I thought I would go and grab the geocache that was closest to the guesthouse. I went with another lady who is staying here, Pat. We decided to take the smaller, back street to the hotel grounds where the cache was - turns out it took us past the Isreal Embassy - LOTS of security on that street for sure! The hotel, though, was a beautiful garden oasis. After finding the cache, we enjoyed the garden for a while. I particularly liked these palm trees - so tall and thin, so packed together - this one was about three stories high! I think it's called Ravenala, or traveller's palm. |
