We didn't get rain today and the clouds even broke up enough to see a bit of sun. Last night I decided I wanted to get out so I went to the Foothills Highland Games in Okotoks. I haven't been since they were held in High River a few years ago. It was nice to get out and see a few people I know from when I was taking bagpipe lessons. I may have also found a few geocaches, cleaning out Okotoks and the nearby surrounding area.

I LOVE African fabrics.  Have I mentioned that I love African fabrics? Because I love African fabrics!

I bought these kitenges at the Masai Market the other day, and today decided to just rinse them out (by hand, in a bucket) so some of the excess dye could come out and so they'd soften up a bit (they're waxed, so start out kind of stiff). I then hung them on the line to dry. And then a torrential - and I mean TORRENTIAL downpour started.  I didn't want the colours to run in the rain, so I had to go out and take them down, and I was soaked to the bone.  Oh well, it's just water, right?
